I am a psychotherapist in training at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC), working towards an MA in Integrative and Humanistic Psychotherapy. I am in my sixth year of training and chose to train as a therapist after some significant shifts and changes in my own life. I have embraced these changes and remain open to continued growth and a deepening of understanding through my work with clients.
During my training I have worked as a volunteer counsellor for the Wiltshire Substance Misuse Service, working with clients in various stages of recovery from addiction. I am also a volunteer support worker for the Fertility Network and a volunteer for Swan Advocacy where I work alongside the IMHA (Independent Mental Health Advocate) to advocate on behalf of patients with acute mental health issues.
Some of my particular interests as a therapist are working with developmental trauma in the body, issues of identity and purpose, trans-generational trauma and the importance of creativity and imagination in the development of a sustaining inner life.
If you are looking for an affordable, low-cost psychotherapist in central Bath, I can work with you from the Practise Rooms. If Frome is easier for you to reach, I can also work with you from my home where I have a dedicated therapy room. I currently have spaces on a Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
As I am in training, my fee is currently offered at £35/50 mins. I am a trainee member of UKCP, and adhere to the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Please feel free to contact me for an initial chat, or drop me an email.
