I am a psychotherapist, having completed six years training at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC). I am working towards a final submission for an MA in Integrative and Humanistic Psychotherapy. I chose to train as a therapist after some significant shifts and changes in my own life. I have embraced these changes and remain open to continued growth and a deepening of understanding through my work with clients.
During my training I have worked as a volunteer counsellor for the Wiltshire Substance Misuse Service, working with clients in various stages of recovery from addiction. I am also a volunteer support worker for the Fertility Network and a volunteer for Swan Advocacy where I work alongside the IMHA (Independent Mental Health Advocate) to advocate on behalf of patients with acute mental health issues.
Some of my particular interests as a therapist are working with complex and acute trauma including PTSD, issues of identity and purpose, particularly around gender roles and life stage, the female body and transition, and the importance of creativity and imagination in the development of a sustaining inner life.
If you are looking for an affordable psychotherapist in central Bath, I can work with you from the Practise Rooms or The Abbey Practice. If Frome is easier for you to reach, I can also work with you from my home where I have a dedicated therapy room. I currently have spaces on a Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
My fee is currently offered at £45/50 min session. I am a trainee member of UKCP, and adhere to the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Please feel free to contact me for an initial chat, or drop me an email.
